These pictures are from the penguin area in Rotterdam Zoo. The penguins didn’t mate and subsequently didn’t lay eggs because the light level were too low and the temperature too high. At the same time, the flickering narrow spectrum lights caused the penguins eye infections. All of this were solved with the help of Prismalence lights. Ten150W 30x60 units placed inside the penguin residence replaced 37 400W Mercury and six 1000W Metal Halogen placed outside the enclosure (due to heat).
